Dog Training treats

Luci and Ron's Dog Cookies

2 cups flour
1 cup cornmeal
1 egg lightly beaten
1 8 oz. tube of liverwurst (also known as Braunschweiger)
1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
2 Tablespoons oil
2 Tablespoons peanut butter
1/2 cup cheese whiz or melted cheese

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

     Mix flour and cornmeal. In a separate bowl, mix egg with oil, add broth and mix well.
     Add dry ingredients to bowl a little at a time stirring well.
     Fold in liverwurst , peanut butter and cheese  and mix until firm.
     Turn dough out onto surface that is lightly floured (I use cornmeal , it is a lot less sticky) and knead briefly.
     Roll out to 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick and cut into small round shapes. ( I use the cap from a sports drink bottle or water bottle)
     Bake on cookie sheet for 15 minutes or till firm.
     Keep in freezer or refrigerator. Makes a lot!
